Former Bears tight end Greg Olsen was on the Russillo Show and talked about playing with both Jay Cutler and Cam Newton throughout his nine-year career.

Olsen said he sees a lot of similarities in Newton and Cutler.

I think they’re both very mobile, they’re going to move around a lot. They’re going to bounce around the pocket, buy time, scramble. Some of their best plays are on second reactions, kind of down the field scramble drill so to speak. But everyone has their different styles. Cam is a big over the top launch guy, easy to find in the pocket. Jay, that ball can come out at any second, quick release. [Cutler] can get lost behind the line, bouncing around, but his arm talent is so good that he can launch it from anywhere. Just like Cam, they can throw the ball 80 yards.

During the two seasons Olsen and Cutler played with each other in Chicago, the former Bears tight end caught 101 passes for 1,016 yards and 13 touchdowns. But Olsen had his best season ever with Newton as his quarterback, catching 84 passes for 1,008 and six touchdowns last season in Carolina.
