Head coach John Fox promised a new vibe at Bears training camp and Friday he delivered on it.
During the offseason programs, the Bears played music at Halas Hall, something Fox said would carry over to training camp. Whether it’s rap or country, the Bears’ playlist offers a different kind of crowd-noise stimulation. From the Seahawks’ Pete Carroll to the Golden State Warriors’ Steve Kerr, several coaches in varying sports have incorporated this into their practices.
When Rick Springfield’s “Jessie’s Girl” blared from the speakers, the media wondered who selected it. Fox took full responsibility.
About a dozen Bears were alive when Springfield’s 1981 hit debuted.
