The health of the Bears’ wide receivers thus far this preseason has been reason for big concern.

Kevin White, the team’s first round draft pick, had successful surgery last weekend but will not be eligible to play before week six.

With the departure of Brandon Marshall this offseason, Alshon Jeffery became the Bears’ unquestioned number one receiver. There was only one issue, though. Jeffery, and seemingly every other wide receiver on the roster, has been injured during the early part of preseason.

With an Instagram post on Thursday night, did Jeffery put any need for angst to rest?

Only 17 Days Chicago until its time to really BearDown. Im Ready to kick this season off right!

An Instagram commenter showed support for Jeffery by comparing him to Minnesota Vikings running back Adrian Peterson:

unscar_ed: He’s doesn’t need to get on the field until week 1. Tell me the last time AP played a preseason game? 2011..

One would think being “ready to kick this season off right” would mean being on the field week one against the Green Bay Packers on Sept. 13.
