Heading into Sunday’s season opener against the Green Bay Packers, Bears fans will need to find every bright spot they can.

One thing working in the Bears favor is their history in the first week of the season. The Bears have the most wins in Week 1 in the history of the NFL.

Unfortunately, for the Bears, the Packers are right on their heels.

If the Bears do knock off the Packers, it would be a sizable upset. Green Bay is favored by a touchdown and has Super Bowl aspirations.

The Bears, on the other hand, are in the first year under new head coach John Fox and are in the middle of the rebuilding process.

Over the last five seasons, the Bears are 4-1 in the season opener. Their only loss came last year against Buffalo.
