With help needed on the defensive line, the Bears elevated second-year lineman Brandon Dunn from their practice squad on Saturday. Defensive back Demontre Hurst was waived.

The Bears are thin on the defensive line. Ego Ferguson (knee) is questionable for Sunday against the Arizona Cardinals. Jeremiah Ratliff remains suspended, and Cornelius Washington was recently put on injured reserve with a quadriceps injury.

Dunn spent the majority of last season on the practice squad as an undrafted rookie out of Louisville. But he did appear in three games last season, making three tackles and a pass breakup.

Hurst, a reserve at cornerback and safety, was active in Week 1 against the Packers, getting two snaps on defense and on eight on special teams.
