The final sentence in Matt Forte’s Bears career was written Friday, but there’s still another chapter to go in the veteran running back’s NFL career.

Forte announced Friday that the Bears said they won’t re-sign him this summer, meaning he’ll be suiting up for a different team in 2016.

Last week, Forte told the Sun-Times if he can’t stay in Chicago, he hopes to land somewhere with a proven quarterback.
