Longtime Bears defensive back Charles Tillman has waited a long time to play in another Super Bowl, but he’ll have to keep waiting.

Tillman will miss Sunday’s game against Denver after suffering a torn ACL in Carolina’s Week 17 win over the Buccaneers.

He discussed the injury in a recent interview with Fox Sports Radio.

Tillman, a two-time Pro Bowler during 12 seasons with Chicago, had 11 tackles and a fumble recovery during the Bears’ 29-17 loss to Indianapolis in the 2007 Super Bowl.

In a separate interview with Fox, Tillman was surprisingly upbeat about his situation, saying being forced to miss the game actually is “not difficult at all.”
