The Bears must be better. Mayor’s orders.

In a press conference Wednesday, Mayor Lori Lightfoot, a Bears season ticket-holder, offered advice to a team mired in a disappointing 4-6 season.

“Find an offense,” she said. “And Eddy Pineiro, find your leg again.”

The Bears kicker missed two first-quarter field goals against the Rams on Sunday night.

Lightfoot met Pineiro on the field before the season-opener against the Packers. She introduced herself and wished him luck.

The topic turned to the Bears on Wednesday when Lightfoot, speaking after a City Council meeting, was asked what she was doing for Thanksgiving. She said her 91-year-old mother was coming over.

“My mother’s actually a big football fan … so I’m sure she’ll watch a little bit of it,” she said of the Bears-Lions game. “The question is, ‘Will it be worth watching?’ That remains to be seen.”
