The NFL fined Bears wide receiver Cordarrelle Patterson $10,527 for his unsportsmanlike conduct penalty last week against the Rams, a source said.

Late in the third quarter, Patterson delivered a big hit on Rams punt returner JoJo Natson. He ripped off his own helmet afterward and yelled profanities, which is an automatic penalty.

Patterson is in the first season of a two-year, $10 million contract with the Bears. He was also fined for unsportsmanlike conduct while playing for the Patriots last season.

He has eight catches and 12 rushes for 117 total yards, plus a 102-yard kick return.
