The Sun-Times’ experts offer their picks for the Bears’ game Sunday against the Vikings at U.S. Bank Stadium:
RICK MORRISSEY
Vikings, 27-17: Whichever 6-7 team wins will take a big step toward making the playoffs. Bears fans looking for change at Halas Hall next season will be rooting — hard — for the Vikings to be that team. Season: 7-6.
RICK TELANDER
Bears, 27-24: It’s like pulling petals off a daisy, this team: ‘‘I believe in Mitch Trubisky, I don’t believe in Mitch Trubisky,” etc. Ad nauseam. This week? I believe in Mitch. I do! Bears to the playoffs and beyond. Season: 7-6.
PATRICK FINLEY
Bears, 24-23: Matt Nagy never has lost a game at U.S. Bank Stadium. To get a chance to return there next year, he probably has to continue that streak Sunday. With a victory, the Bears’ playoff dreams become more than wishful thinking. Season: 10-3.
JASON LIESER
Bears, 20-17: This is a coin-flip game between two nearly identical teams. The Bears’ defense has overwhelmed the Vikings the last three seasons, holding them to 14.8 points per game, and that’s their path to victory this week, too. Season: 4-9.
MARK POTASH
Vikings, 27-23: The Bears’ offense is on a roll with Trubisky and will be facing a Vikings defense that isn’t what it has been in recent years. But the Vikings figure to respond after losing to the Buccaneers last week. Season: 7-6.
