The Mike Glennon revenge game is on.

And he won’t have much help.

After competing with Gardner Minshew during the week, Glennon will start Sunday against the Bears, the team said. He’ll take the field without running back James Robinson, whose 1,070 rushing yards rank third in the NFL. The team ruled out the undrafted rookie from Illinois State, who didn’t practice all week after hurting his ankle in last week’s loss to the Ravens.

Glennon started three games this season — losses in Weeks 12-14 — before Minshew took his place. He is 61-for-100 for 600 yards, three touchdowns and three interceptions on the season.

The Jaguars aren’t incentivized to win Sunday. They’ll get the top pick in the draft if they lose their last two games.

Glennon was, rather, infamously, a Bears quarterback for one season. The Bears signed him to a three-year, $45 million deal months before they drafted Mitch Trubisky in 2017. Trubisky replaced Glennon after four games. The Bears cut him at the end of the season after paying him $18.5 million.

“There’s not a whole lot of guys left that I played with [on the Bears] , but there’s a handful,” Glennon told reporters earlier this week. “I think any time you’re going against your former team, there’s always some added excitement.”

This offseason, defensive lineman Akiem Hicks referenced the Bears signing Glennon when talking about how unfair it was that Colin Kaepernick was blackballed.

NOTE: Tight end Demetrius Harris was ruled out with an ankle injury he suffered Sunday against the Vikings.
