The Bears are bringing back former defensive tackle John Jenkins on a one-year deal. He was with them in 2017, when he appeared in eight games and made one start.

Jenkins, who turns 31 this summer, had a bounce-back season with the Dolphins in 2019. He played every game, appearing in 43 percent of the defensive snaps and working on special teams and started five games.

Before that, he bounced around to three teams in five seasons. Jenkins began as an third-round pick out of Georgia for the Saints in 2013, then had a stint with the Seahawks in 2016 before playing for the Bears in ‘17 and Giants in ‘18.
