New Bears quarterback Andy Dalton will wear No. 14, the same jersey number he’s donned his entire pro career, in 2021. He was one of six free-agent signings to whom the Bears assigned numbers Friday.

Running back Damien Williams will wear No. 25 for the first time in his career; he donned No. 26 in his Super Bowl star turn with the Chiefs. Cornerback Desmond Trufant will wear No. 21, the number he wore during his Falcons stint from 2013-19.

The Bears signed outside linebacker Jeremiah Attaochu to take Barkevious Mingo’s place as their third outside linebacker. Fittingly, he’ll wear his old No. 50. The same goes for tackle Elijah Wilkinson, who plays Bobby Massie’s position and will wear his old No. 70.

Inside linebacker Christian Jones will wear No. 57 after wearing No. 59 and No. 52 in his first stint with the Bears. Those numbers are now taken by inside linebacker Danny Trevathan and star edge rusher Khalil Mack.

The Bears signed all six players to one-year deals this offseason.
