It all started with an innocent tweet from Chris Creamer.
The Chicago #Blackhawks have never won the #StanleyCup while wearing their red jerseys.

Creamer tweeted that the Blackhawks have never clinched a Stanley Cup wearing red jerseys. The last three (1961, 2010, 2013) came with basically the same uniform style and the Hawks donning white sweaters, something I found interesting and passed along to my Twitter followers.
Jay Zawaski, a personality on 670 The Score and their go-to Hawks expert, surprised me with his response.
. @BrianSandalow White jerseys > Red jerseys. There, I said it and I stand by it. Come at me.

Hmmm, I figured he’s gotta be in the minority. While there’s nothing wrong with the white jersey, the red one is iconic. The deep red evokes passion and emotion and aesthetically is such an attractive and bold color, and in my opinion is superior.
@BrianSandalow I love the red and refuse to buy a white one!

Conversely, many argue that the logo stands out better on the white jersey. And as well known as the Hawks’ red is, that logo is the most famous part of the visual identity. Somewhat shockingly, many folks in my mentions agree with Zawaski, preferring the white jerseys.
@BrianSandalow I prefer they win the Cup this year..could care less about their jersey color
