Blackhawks free agent defenseman Johnny Oduya could sign with a team Tuesday, reports Mike Heika of the Dallas Morning News.

Chicago is still reportedly in on signing Oduya, as is Buffalo, Dallas, Boston and “perhaps” Columbus, The Buffalo News reports.

The Blackhawks remain over the NHL’s $71.4 million salary cap, which makes signing Oduya less likely. The Hawks acquired defenseman Trevor Daley as part of the July 10 trade that sent Patrick Sharp to the Stars.

Oduya, 33, has won two Stanley Cups during his four-year run with the Blackhawks. He had two goals and eight assists last season.
