Earlier this week, The Blackhawks started training camp. But before the team prepares for another run at an NHL title, captain Jonathan Toews brought the Stanley Cup to the Notre Dame game Saturday.

Although many in attendance were anticipating a matchup with the vaunted Georgia Tech offense, the Hawks and the cup were an even bigger draw.

Toews also brought a few friends and teammates with him to South Bend, Ind.

Apparently the cup brought the Irish some luck, as the team led 30-7 with less than three minutes remaining in the contest.

Could the Fighting Irish be destined to hoist a trophy of their own this year?
