Patrick Kane had a bit of a rough night at the NHL Skills Competition Saturday in Nashville.

First, the Blackhawks winger was booed as he was introduced to the home crowd, then Kane’s Western Conference team was soundly defeated by its Eastern Conference counterparts.

Kane competed in three events, but failed to win any of them as his team was beaten by a final score of 29-12.

In his first event, the accuracy shooting, Kane’s time of 20 seconds was the highest of any Western Conference shooter. He won the event at the 2015 Skills Competition with a time of 13.529 seconds.

One of the few bright spots for the West was the relay, in which Kane competed in the stick-hailing portion.

In two attempts at the shootout, Kane failed to get a shot past East goaltender Roberto Luongo.
