Stars winger Patrick Eaves came into tonight’s game against the Blackhawks with four goals this season. He’s nearly doubled that total in the first period alone.

Eaves scored three goals in 16 minutes for his second career hat trick and Dallas leads the Blackhawks 4-0 after one period.

Less than a week after losing to Chicago 5-1 in Dallas, the Stars got on the board early as Eaves beat Corey Crawford from an impossible angle.

His second goal was nearly as impressive as he beat Crawford with a quick redirect to make it 3-0 Dallas.

He tacked on his third goal just minutes later:
