United Airlines plans to offer summer service between Chicago and Dublin, Ireland, beginning in 2015.
The seasonal route is among three announced Monday by Chicago-based United. The other routes are between New York and Venice, Italy, and between Washington, D.C., and Paris.
“We’re pleased to further strengthen United’s trans-Atlantic route network with these new flights to three top destinations in Europe,” said Brian Znotins, United’s vice president of network.
United said flight from O’Hare to Dublin will rake seven hours 30 minutes, while the return flight will last eight hours 25 minutes. The airline said it will use Boeing 757-200 jets on the route. The Chicago-Dublin service will operate between June 4 and Aug. 17.
