CBS Radio Chicago has named a new senior vice president and market manager following the departure of Rod Zimmerman, the company announced Thursday.

Tim Pohlman will manage all operations for CBS Radio Chicago stations effective immediately, including WBBM-AM, WBBM-FM, WJMK-FM, WSCR-AM, WUSN-FM and WXRT-FM, according to a statement from CBS Radio.

Pohlman succeeds Zimmerman, who had held the title since 2003 and is “stepping down from his position to pursue other opportunities,” according to the statement.

Pohlman had served as senior vice president and market manager of CBS Radio Phoenix for the past six years, and before that was managing partner and CEO of Riviera Broadcast Group. He has a degree in communications from Dayton University.
