Motorola Mobility says it is opening an “experiential boutique” so holiday shoppers can try out the company’s smartphones and wearables.

“Looking at products online can be fun, but nothing compares to experiencing them in person, especially when it comes to your smartphone or smartwatch,” Motorola says in a blog post announcing the seasonal store.

The company promises a hands-on, interactive environment.

The Moto Shop opens Nov. 7 at 108 N. State St. (That’s Suite 140 at Block 37.) A grand opening is planned for Nov. 14.

And yes, you can test Motorola’s new shatterproof phone.
