Gubernatorial candidate Bruce Rauner’s new ad targets Democratic incumbent Gov. Pat Quinn — and union bosses. In a new ad going into rotation along with another released on Friday, Rauner says if “we don’t fundamentally change direction, we’re toast.”

Rauner announced last week he was launching a new round of media buys and sinking $500,000 into his own campaign fund, which is taking the caps off for the rest of the candidates in the four-way GOP primary. In the ad, Rauner contends that “Career politicians are running our state.” Under his leadership: “Let me tell ya, that’s gonna change, big time.”
