Where’s Rob Ford? Not in Chicago

Rob Ford, the hot mess of a mayor from Toronto, has apparently decided Chicago isn’t his kind of town.

Reports surfaced last week that Ford was headed here after taking a leave of absence to seek help for alcohol addiction, but it turns out that he got cold feet and turned around before officially gaining entry into the United States, The Globe and Mail reports.

He voluntarily withdrew his application to enter the USA, Consul General of Canada in Chicago, Roy Norton, confirmed to The Globe and Mail in an e-mail, saying the Toronto mayor was not denied entry, per se.

So where’s Ford now?

His campaign manager and brother, Councillor Doug Ford won’t say exactly where he is.

“For the one-millionth time, Rob Ford is in a rehabilitation program,” he told the Toronto Star. “He’s progressing, he’s doing well, he’s into the program … He tells me he’s going to come back a few pounds lighter, so that’s good.”
