WASHINGTON—Democratic National Committee chairman Rep. Debbie Wasserman Schultz, D-Fl., hits Highland Park on Sunday to headline a fundraiser for Rep. Brad Schneider, D-Ill., targeting female donors.

Rep. Jan Schakowsky, D-Ill., is also a on the bill as a “special guest” at the “Women for Brad” event this morning at the Highland Park Country Club in the north suburb.

Schneider is locked in a November rematch with former Rep. Bob Dold, R-Ill.

Dold was defeated by Schneider in 2012 after serving one term. This contest for the tenth congressional district seat is the biggest Chicago area House race.

The long list of co-hosts include “Tenth Dems,” Marcia Balonick, Marilyn Elrod, Lauren Beth Gash, Barbara Slutsky and Amy Zisook.

Wasserman Schultz is a draw for other candidates: On June 2 she was in Chicago to headline an event for Rep. Robin Kelly D-Ill., attend an event for Gov. Pat Quinn and speak at a JACPAC luncheon.
