Hillary Clinton will be in town next week stumping for Gov. Pat Quinn, and while she’s here, the potential 2016 presidential candidate also will be headlining the Advanced Medical Technology Association’s annual meeting.
Crain’s Chicago Business reports that Clinton, along with Food and Drug Administration Commissioner Dr. Margaret Hamburg are among meeting’s keynote speakers. Clinton will speak at 12:30 p.m. Oct. 8.

From Crain’s:
“The state and mayor put lot of emphasis on health care with Matter and Propel (programs for startups). We’re sitting on tremendous resources. The challenge is pulling it all together. In Boston, everyone’s on Route 128. They’re close to each other. Here in Chicago, you don’t have that. That’s why Matter (a new health-tech incubator at the Merchandise Mart) is such a good idea.”
Mayor Rahm Emanuel and Gov. Pat Quinn also are scheduled to speak.
