WEEKEND GUIDANCE AND PRESS SCHEDULE FOR

SATURDAY, JANUARY 24, 2015 AND SUNDAY, JANUARY 25, 2015

In the morning, the President and the First Lady will depart the White House en route to Ramstein, Germany on their way to New Delhi, India. The departure from South Lawn is open press and the arrival at Joint Base Andrews will be covered by the travel pool. Their arrival at Ramstein, Air Base where Air Force One will refuel, will also be covered by the travel pool. Following the refuel, the President and the First Lady depart Ramstein, Air Base Germany en route New Delhi, India. There will be travel pool coverage of the President’s departure from Ramstein, Germany and the Sunday morning arrival at the Air Force Station Palam in New Delhi, India is open press.

On Sunday, the President will participate in an official arrival ceremony with President Mukherjee at Rashtrapati Bhavan. The President will then participate in a wreath laying ceremony and tree planting at Raj Ghat in New Delhi, India. There will be pre-set pool coverage of the arrival ceremony and there will be pre-set pool and travel pool coverage of the wreath laying and tree planting.

In the afternoon, the President participates in a restricted working lunch with Prime Minister Modi at Hyderabad House. This meeting is closed press. Following, this meeting, the President will participate in a walk and talk with Prime Minister Modi. There will be travel pool coverage of the walk and talk. Afterward, the President will participate in an expanded meeting with Prime Minister Modi. There will be pre-set pool coverage at the top of this meeting. Later in the afternoon, the President will deliver statements with Prime Minister Modi at Hyderabad House. The President’s remarks are open press.

In the evening, the President and the First Lady will meet with Embassy personnel and families. This meeting at the ITC Maurya Hotel is closed press. Following the meet and greet, the President will participate in a courtesy call with President Mukherje at Rashtrapati Bhavan. There will be pre-set pool coverage of this meeting.

Later in the evening, the President and the First Lady will attend a state dinner at Rashtapati Bhavan. There will be limited travel pool coverage of the dinner. Following the dinner, the President and First Lady will remain overnight in New Dehli.

Schedule for the Week of January 26, 2015

On Monday, the President will participate in the Indian Republic Day celebration as the Chief Guest; the First Lady will also attend. Following the celebration, the President and the First Lady will attend a reception with President Mukherjee atRashtrapati Bhavan. In the afternoon, the President will participate in a CEO Forum roundtable with Prime Minister Modi. Following the roundtable, the President and Prime Minister Modi will deliver remarks at a U.S.- India Business Summit.

On Tuesday, the President will deliver remarks at Siri Fort Auditorium and the First Lady will attend. In the afternoon, the President and the First Lady will travel to Agra, India to tour the Taj Mahal. Following their tour, the President and First Lady will depart India en route Washington, DC.

On Wednesday, in the morning, the President and First Lady will return from New Dehli, India. In the afternoon, the President will deliver remarks at the Armed Forces farewell in honor of Secretary of Defense Hagel.

On Thursday, the President will attend the House Democratic Caucus Retreat in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. The Vice President will attend on Friday.

On Friday, the President will attend meetings at the White House.
