14-year-old boy wounded in Lawndale shooting

A 14-year-old boy was wounded Tuesday night in a Lawndale neighborhood shooting on the Southwest Side.

Two males walked up to the boy and began shooting about 7:20 p.m. as he stood on the sidewalk in the 1300 block of South Independence, Chicago Police said.

The boy suffered a graze wound to his right thigh and was taken to Stroger Hospital in good condition, police said.
