14-year-old girl approached by five men in Montgomery

A 14-year-old girl was approached by five men who asked her to get inside their vehicle Friday afternoon in west suburban Montgomery.

The girl was walking near Long Beach Road and Winrock Road in unincorporated Montgomery a few minutes before 3 p.m. when five men¬†she didn’t know in a black Hyundai pulled up, according to a statement from the Kendall County sheriff’s office.

All of the men were described as in their early 20s, according to the statement. Four were black and one was white.

The male seated in the back passenger side, who had dreadlocks with caramel-colored tips,¬†rolled down the window and asked the girl to get in the vehicle, according to the sheriff’s office.

The girl immediately ran home, according to the sheriff’s office. Deputies who responded searched the area, but did not find the vehicle.
