Rental trucks stolen on the Near West Side: police

A rental truck agency parked their vehicles on the street and later discovered them missing, police said.

A pair of vehicle thefts were reported Sept. 16 and Sept. 29, 2019 on the Near West Side.

Two rental trucks were reported stolen in September on the Near West Side.

In each incident, a truck rental agency parked their vehicles on the street to later discover they were missing, Chicago police said in a community alert.

These thefts happened about 7 a.m. Sept. 16 in the 700 block of West Erie Street and 7 a.m. Sept. 29 in the 600 block of North Halsted Street, police said.

Police did not offer a description of any offenders.
