Burglar targets Andersonville, Edgewater garages: police

In each case, someone entered a garage through an unlocked door or pried open the door before stealing property from within, according to Chicago police.

Three garage burglaries were reported in Logan Square and Humboldt Park.

Police are warning residents about a pair of garage burglaries reported since September in Andersonville and Edgewater on the North Side.

In each case, someone entered a garage through an unlocked door or pried open the door before stealing property from within, according to a community alert from Chicago police.

The first break-in happened about 6 p.m. Sept. 26 in the 1600 block of West Summerdale Avenue, police said. Another occurred about 9:15 p.m. Oct. 5 in the 5900 block of North Paulina Street.

The suspect in the Paulina burglary was described as a man between 20 and 25 years old wearing a black Chicago Bulls baseball cap, a black jacket, tan pants and white gym shoes, according to police.
