A man was shot multiple times and seriously wounded Tuesday morning in Humboldt Park on the West Side.
The 30-year-old was getting in his vehicle when a two-door car, possibly a Toyota, approached and a man with a gun exited, Chicago police said. He fired several shots before driving off.
The shooting happened about 7:55 a.m. in the 3600 block of West Thomas Street, police said.
The man was hit seven times, including in the arm, hip, chest and back, police said. He was taken to Mt. Sinai Hospital and listed in serious condition.
Police said the gunman was between 5-feet-7 and 5-feet-8, and had a mustache and wore a black sweatshirt and sweatpants.
