Man killed in Gary shooting

Sean Baker was shot in the 7000 block of East 5th Avenue, the Lake County coroner’s office said.

A man died April 8, 2021, after being shot March 25, 2021, in Calumet City.

A 25-year-old man died Wednesday after being shot in Gary, Indiana.

Sean Baker was shot about 8:10 p.m. in the 7000 block of East 5th Avenue, according to Gary police and the Lake County coroner’s office.

Baker was pronounced dead about 11:10 p.m. at Methodist Hospital in Northlake, authorities said.

An autopsy found that Baker died of a gunshot wound, and his death was ruled a homicide, the coroner’s office said.
