A 32-year-old man was shot and killed Sunday in Humboldt Park on the Northwest Side.

About 10:11 p.m., Ignacio Olmos was exiting a vehicle in the 1500 block of North Karlov Avenue when he was shot in the head by a man leaving the same vehicle, Chicago police and the Cook County medical examiner’s office said.

The man then fired additional shots at him from a nearby gangway and fled, police said. Olmos was pronounced dead on the scene, authorities said.

An autopsy released Monday found Olmos died of a gunshot wound to the torso, the medical examiner’s office said.

No one is in custody as Area North detectives investigate.
