A Northwest Side couple woke up Tuesday and found a swastika painted on the garage of their Kilbourn Park home.

A woman discovered the racist graffiti scrawled over her garage about 7 a.m. in the 3200 block of North Kenneth Avenue, Chicago police said.

The woman and her husband, who is Jewish, called 911 to report the criminal damage to property, police said.

A police spokesperson said the garage was “painted up” with at least one swastika.

It was unclear who targeted the couple’s garage, or why, police said.

No arrests have been made as Area North detectives investigate.
