Police are warning residents about a pair of apartment burglaries reported since last month in Lawndale and Little Village.

In each case, someone forced entry to a window before stealing items, according to a community alert from Chicago police.

The first break-in occurred between 11:30 a.m. and 3:45 p.m. Sept. 25 in the 3800 block of West Cermak Road, police said. The second happened about 5 p.m. Oct. 4 in the 1600 block of South Springfield Avenue.
