Police are warning Washington Park residents after several apartment burglaries were reported last week on the South Side.

In each case, one or two suspects forced a door open and stole items from inside, Chicago police said in a community alert.

The burglaries happened:

  • At 7 p.m. Nov. 12 in the 5400 block of South Indiana Avenue
  • Between 5:30 p.m. and 8:30 p.m. Nov. 12 in the first block of East Garfield Boulevard
  • At 9 p.m. Nov. 12 in the 5600 block of South Wabash Avenue
  • Between 5 a.m. and 6 p.m. Nov. 15 in the 5800 block of South Wabash Avenue

The suspects are described as one or two males standing 5-foot-10 to 6 feet, police said.
