Police are warning Southwest Side residents of two robberies reported in recent weeks in Scottsdale.

In both cases, a man approached someone and demanded their property, Chicago police said in a community alert.

A robbery happened about 4:06 p.m. Nov. 14 in the 4600 block of West 85th Street, police said. Another happened about 6:50 a.m. Nov. 21 in the 8300 block of South Kolmar Avenue.

One of the suspects was described as 18 to 25 years old, standing 5-foot-8 to 6 feet and weighing 140-150 pounds, police said. The other as 20 to 25 years old and standing between 5-foot-10 and 6 feet.
