Someone broke into garage windows and stole tools, bicycles and lawn equipment, police said.

Police are warning South Side residents about several garage burglaries that were reported this month in Beverly.

In some cases, someone got into the garages by breaking a window, then stole tools, bicycles and lawn equipment, Chicago police said. Some of the other garages were left unlocked.

The burglaries happened between 12 a.m. to 6 a.m., police said.

They occurred:

  • Nov. 5 in the 9100 block of South Bell Avenue;
  • Nov. 9 in the 9000 block of South Hamilton Avenue;
  • Between Nov. 11 and Nov. 15 in the 8800 block of South Leavitt Street;
  • Nov. 25 in the 9300 block of South Longwood Avenue; and
  • Nov. 28 in the 9000 block of South Hoyne Avenue.

A description of any suspects wasn’t available.
