Authorities are looking for two people who broke into a home Friday in southwest suburban Palos Park before being scared off by a resident.

The pair forced entry to the home’s rear door shortly after 7 p.m. near 123rd Street and 113th Avenue after trying the doorbell and getting no answer at the front door, according to a statement from Palos Park police.

A woman who lives in the home managed to scare off the burglars, who ran away when they heard her, police said. A surveillance camera from a nearby home recorded the suspects running to an SUV that was waiting for them on 113th after coming from the north and turning around to face 123rd.

Police posted the video of the suspects running to the SUV to the department’s Facebook page. Anyone with information can call police at 708-448-0650.
