A woman asleep in an Englewood home Sunday was injured when someone fired gunshots outside.

The 23-year-old was asleep in a second-floor bedroom at 1:27 a.m. when someone fired multiple shots outside the house in the 500 block of West 62nd Street, according to Chicago police.

A bullet entered the home and hit the woman in the right ankle, police said. She was taken to St. Bernard Hospital, where her condition was stabilized.

Five other people were in the house at the time but no other injuries were reported, police said.

No one is in custody as Area South detectives investigate.
