Police are warning business owners about a string a burglaries that happened this month in Lincoln Park and the Near North Side.

In each case, the suspect used a pry tool to break into businesses and stole property, Chicago police said.

  • in the early morning hours Dec. 1 in the first block of East Ontario Street
  • in the late evening hours Dec. 9 in the 2000 block of North Clark Street
  • in the evening hours Dec. 10 in the 2000 block of North Cleveland Avenue
  • in the morning hours Dec. 18 in the 600 block of North Dearborn Street

The suspect was described as a man 45 to 65-years-old standing 6-feet to 6-foot-3, police said. He weighs 185 to 200 pounds and was wearing dark clothing.
