Lincoln Park, Near North Side businesses burglarized

The suspect used a pry tool to break into businesses, police said.

An 8-year-old boy was not taken during a carjacking Sept. 16, 2022 on the South Side. — A string of businesses were burglarized in Lincoln Park and Near North Side in December, 2019.

Police are warning business owners about a string a burglaries that happened this month in Lincoln Park and the Near North Side.

In each case, the suspect used a pry tool to break into businesses and stole property, Chicago police said.

in the early morning hours Dec. 1 in the first block of East Ontario Street
in the late evening hours Dec. 9 in the 2000 block of North Clark Street
in the evening hours Dec. 10 in the 2000 block of North Cleveland Avenue
in the morning hours Dec. 18 in the 600 block of North Dearborn Street

The suspect was described as a man 45 to 65-years-old standing 6-feet to 6-foot-3, police said. He weighs 185 to 200 pounds and was wearing dark clothing.
