Man killed in Roseland shooting: police

Officers found Travis Bester, 28, unresponsive with gunshot wounds to the chest about 10:24 p.m., officials said.

A person was fatally shot Jan. 23, 2021, in West Pullman.

A man was shot dead Dec. 23, 2019, in the 700 block of East 106th Street.

A man was killed in a shooting Monday in Roseland on the South Side, according to police.

Officers responded to a ShotSpotter alert about 10:24 p.m. in the 700 block of East 106th Street and found Travis Bester, 28, unresponsive with gunshot wounds to the chest, Chicago police and the Cook County medical examiner’s office said.

Bester was taken to the University of Chicago Medical Center, where he was pronounced dead, officials said. He lived in Roseland.

No arrests have been reported. Area South detectives are conducting a homicide investigation.
