At least six reported burglaries happened in West Garfield Park in the last month.

Police are warning West Garfield Park residents of a series of burglaries to garages over the past month in the West Side neighborhood.

In each of the six incidents, someone used force to enter a garage and stole property.

The burglaries happened:

  • about 1 p.m. Nov. 22 in the 4300 block of West Jackson Boulevard;
  • about 8:30 a.m. Nov. 24 in the 4300 block of West Adams Street;
  • about noon Dec. 5 in the 4000 block of West Adams Street;
  • between 1:30 p.m. Dec. 5 and 12:30 a.m. Dec. 5 in the 4300 block of West Monroe Street;
  • about 7:15 p.m. Dec. 8 in the 4300 block of West Monroe Street; and
  • about 6:30 p.m. Dec. 16 in the 4200 block of West Monroe Street.
