A teenage boy was wounded when he was shot Tuesday in Garfield Park on the West Side.

The teen, 17, was walking about 9:30 p.m. in the 700 block of North Spaulding Avenue when someone in a black SUV fired shots, Chicago police said.

The teen was hit in the buttocks, and his condition was stabilized at Stroger Hospital, police said.

No arrests have been made, and Area North detectives are investigating.
