Rogers Park robberies: Businesses and its employees, customers targeted

The suspect, who was wearing a hat and scarf, pulled out a gun and took money, police said.

North Side business owners are warned about three robberies that happened in December 2019 in Rogers Park, including one in the 6500 block of North Clark Street.

Police are warning North Side business owners about three robberies that happened this month in Rogers Park.

In each case, the suspect took money from employees and customers at gunpoint, Chicago police said.

The incidents happened:

About 8:11 p.m. Dec. 13 in the 6500 block of North Clark Street;
About 6:18 p.m. Dec. 18 in the 6900 block of North Clark Street; and
About 7:55 Dec. 23 in the 1700 block of West Lunt Avenue.

The suspect is described a man 30 to 35-years-old, police said. He is 5-foot-10 to 6-foot-1 and weighs about 200 to 220 pounds. The man was wearing a hat and scarf to conceal his face.
