Man fatally shot in Maywood

Raheem Fields, 26, was shot just after noon Monday in the 500 block of Roosevelt Road, authorities said.

A man was shot and killed Monday in west suburban Maywood.

The man was shot about 12:06 p.m. in the 500 block of Roosevelt Road, the Cook County medical examiner’s office said.

Officers were called to the scene and found 26-year-old Raheem Fields inside a vehicle with multiple gunshot wounds, Maywood police said. He was taken to Loyola University Medical Center in Maywood, where he was pronounced dead at 12:40 p.m.

Autopsy results released Tuesday found he died of multiple gunshot wounds, and his death was ruled a homicide, the medical examiner’s office said. He lived in Maywood.
