Police are warning South Side business owners after liquor stores were burglarized this month in Beverly and Brainerd.

In each case, the suspects cut electrical wires to disable the alarm system, pried the door open and took several bottles of alcohol, Chicago police said.

The burglaries happened:

  • At 3 a.m. Dec. 1 in the 10500 Block of South Western Avenue;
  • At 3:30 a.m. Dec. 1 in the 9000 Block of South Ashland Avenue; and
  • At 4:45 a.m. Dec. 29 in the 10000 Block of South Western Avenue.

Surveillance video from one of the burglaries showed two men between 18 and 25 years old, police said. They were wearing surgical masks, hooded sweatshirts and gloves.
