A man who was shot on Christmas in Belmont Central on the Northwest Side has died from his injuries.

Irvin Garcia, 22, was pronounced dead about 3:53 a.m. Monday at Loyola University Medical Center, according to the Cook County medical examiner’s office.

Garcia was shot multiple times about 2:35 a.m. Christmas Day in the 5800 block of West Belden Avenue while he was in the driver’s seat of a vehicle, Chicago police and the medical examiner’s office said.

He crashed into three parked vehicles after the shooting, police said.

No arrests have been reported. Area North detectives are investigating.
