Police are looking for three people suspected of an armed robbery at a gas station Tuesday in west suburban Elmhurst.

About 5:45 a.m., three males wearing masks entered a Shell gas station located at 301 West Butterfield Road, Elmhurst police said. One of them displayed a gun and pushed an employee into a back room, while the other two stole cash and cartons of cigarettes.

The employee wasn’t hurt, and the suspects fled, police said.

The armed suspect was wearing a black or dark gray hoodie, gray pants and black gloves, police said. Another wore a green hoodie, black pants and black gloves. The third wore a light blue hoodie and black gloves.
