Police are warning Lincoln Park residents on the North Side to watch their vehicles after six were broken into and robbed in April and May.

In each incident, the burglar smashed the windows of parked vehicles and took property before fleeing, according to a community alert from Chicago police.

The six incidents occurred in between April 28 and May 8, with two on May 6, police said. Three addresses were targeted: the 2100 block of North Dominick Street, the 1400 block of West Webster Avenue and the 1400 block of West Shakespeare Avenue.

Police did not provide a description of the offender.

Anyone with information is encouraged to contact Area Central detectives at 312-747-8380.

Similar incidents were also reported in West Town in April and May, police said.
